Boatshed Algarve Team Outside Their New Shop
Boatshed Algarve has opened a second office in Portugal to cope with increasing demand for its yacht brokerage services. The new office in Vilamoura will complement the existing base at Albufeira which has been open for two years.
The team at Boatshed Algarve is Russell Francis and his brother Gary, ably assisted by Matthew Francis (Russell’s son) and Cristina (the prettiest of them all).
Russell is thrilled with the expansion and is looking forward to a busy few months. “We now have bases in two of the key marinas in the Algarve, and Boatshed has been very welcomed by the locals and holiday makers alike. More and more Brits are moving their boats to the Algarve, enticed by the weather and the relatively inexpensive marinas. Our new shop will be an excellent place to show all the boats on our books and will give sellers somewhere to drop into and have a chat and a beer. On our first day open we sold a Bavaria 30 so we must be doing something right!”
Boatshed is the only yacht brokerage to personally visit and photograph every boat that they sell and offers a “warts and all” approach for potential customers.
“There is nothing worse than seeing a boat on the internet and then turning up for a viewing and seeing that actually the little crack you saw on the teak deck is an enormous cravasse. We are totally transparent and personally involved in every sale so we know the boats we are talking about. We are also truly international, with over 50% of our vessels sold to buyers outside Portugal,” added Gary.
